ABOUT US
History
Luscombe Engineering was founded in Pasadena, California, in 1954 by Jim Luscombe, the son of pioneer aircraft manufacturer, Don Luscombe
(www.luscombe.org). When Jim passed away in 1984, the company was split into 3 separate operating companies based upon location. The "Luscombe Companies" are completely independent businesses although we continue to represent common or similar product lines.
Luscombe Engineering Company (LEC) of Colorado was founded in 1984 by Steve and Cindy Aaron to provide sales coverage in the Rocky Mountain states of Colorado,
Wyoming, Utah, Idaho and Montana.
The company was incorporated in the state of Colorado in 1986. In 1992, LEC Inc. of Colorado sold the Utah, Idaho, and Montana operation to LEC Inc. of Utah.
As of July 1, 2002, Steve Aaron sold LEC to four of the senior sales staff
members who had worked together at LEC for over 10 years. The new partners
are Stan Gross, Sheree Seabury, Dave Gunsauls, and Rick Krause. In May of
2007, Luscombe Engineering Company Inc. of Colorado established the
Luscombe Technical Sales, LLC subsidiary to provide renewed support for
the Utah, Idaho and Montana territory. In October of 2007, Doug
Campbell, became a Partner. Doug has been with Luscombe as a Field
Sales Rep for 10 years.
